It sits a short way up the coast from our Hartlepool base, so homeowners in Blackhall Colliery, Blackhall Rocks and the surrounding streets get the same family service as customers in town. Whether it is a full set of windows or one stiff door lock, you deal directly with David Webb and his son from the first call to the finished job. ### Homes in Blackhall Blackhall grew as a colliery village, and many homes are rows of former colliery terraces, alongside later council-built semis and some newer housing. Terraced streets tend to have similar window sizes, but decades of individual changes mean each property still needs measuring on its own. ### Common jobs in Blackhall - Replacing tired or draughty uPVC windows on terraced and semi-detached homes. - Back doors that take the brunt of the coastal weather. - Misted glass units, especially on exposed elevations. - Lock, hinge and handle repairs on older uPVC windows and doors. That exposure means draughts are noticed quickly and failing seals let in driven rain. Well-fitted frames and sound seals matter more here than in sheltered spots. ### Colliery-era terraces Former colliery houses are often solid-walled and many have had several generations of windows. When replacing, the condition of each opening is checked so the new frame sits square and seals properly. ### Hardware wear Salt air and constant wind put extra work on hinges, locks and handles. A stiff mechanism is a warning sign: repairing it early is usually cheaper than waiting for it to fail. Our process ## How It Works in Blackhall 01 ### Get in touch Call David or send the form.
